Seven times legal limit: police

A woman found slumped over the steering wheel of her damaged car in Broome has been charged with drunk-driving after she allegedly blew seven times the legal blood alcohol limit.

Broome police went to check on the 48-year-old about 10.30pm on Saturday after receiving a call from someone who had seen her.

She allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.32 and was charged with driving under the influence and banned for two months.

The woman will appear in court on March 23.
