Woman's body found with dog's bites

An 18-year-old woman was found dead and with suspected dog bite wounds in a community near Fitzroy Crossing yesterday.

Although injuries on the woman's body were consistent with dog bites, police have not deemed them to be the cause of death.

Officers were called to the yard of a house yesterday afternoon and found the woman's body.

A police spokeswoman said several dogs had been seized by the Shire pending further investigation.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
