Beautiful Beau returned home
Beau the German shepherd has been found in a park and returned home after a social media campaign and emotional pleas by his owner.
Nick Edmunds, who lives near Warnbro Fair Shopping Centre, made a gut-wrenching discovery when he returned home from work on September 25 to find Beau was missing.
The side gate at his home was open and the dog was nowhere to be found.
The Find Beau Facebook page reported that Beau has been found this morning at a park in Bedfordale.
Mr Edmunds said he'd received a call from a vet who identified Beau.
"Beau has lost 14kgs and has a small mark on the bottom of his paw that he doesn't like putting weight on but other than that he just needs a good bath and sleep," Mr Edmunds said on Facebook.

Security camera footage showed a man approach his house and leave with a German shepherd on a leash.
The footage was captured just after 11.30am on Thursday. quickly went viral, with more than 250,000 views over 14 hours.
The 28-year-old said he's been inundated with links to Gumtree pages selling German Shepherds, in particular one in Balga, but unfortunately none of them are Beau.
He described the four-year-old dog as friendly, well-mannered and well behaved.

On October 6 Mr Edmunds posted a plea and offer of reward on his Facebook page:
"A side note to that... i want you to know that this heartless act of selfishness and cruelty you has destroyed me as a person and made me feel as if i have failed my boy as a father. If i was to never see beau again i will have to live with the feelings and thoughts that i didnt do enough...
If you are reading this take a long hard look at your self in the mirror and put your self in my shoes! I have had beau since he was a puppy and you can ask anyone he is like my shadow.
Social media,TV news, news papers, rangers, police, every facebook user and almost everyone from Bunbury to Wanneroo have heard about beau in some way! it wont be long before someone knocks on your sholder.
Please return my boy even if you tie him to a pole somewhere and we will find him."
