Raid nets weapons, drugs, cash

A 50-year-old man has been charged after a search on a house yesterday allegedly uncovered weapons, drugs and thousands of dollars in cash.

Fremantle detectives and police officers searched the Mather Road, Beaconsfield, house yesterday.

"It is alleged police located approximately 80g of methylamphetamine, over $16,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia, an air pistol, replica rifle, ammunition and other weapons including a bow and arrow and sword," police said.

The Beaconsfield man has been charged with possessing methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply, possessing methylamphetamine, unlawful possession of cash and possessing drug paraphernalia.

He has also been charged with possessing an unlicensed firearm, possessing unlicensed ammunition, possessing a controlled weapon and having ready access to a firearm and drugs.

The man is due to appear in Fremantle Magistrate's Court next month.
