A man brandishing a large blade held-up a deli in Medina yesterday.

Police are calling for witnesses to the robbery, which happened about 2.30pm at Kattlers Deli on Pace Road.

A police spokesman said the man had been carrying a large knife or a sword.

In another armed hold-up, a man stole a quantity of cash from a liquor store in Ocean Reef last night.

About 8pm, a man wearing a balaclava entered the Liquor Barons on Marine Boulevard.

He threatened the staff member with a knife then fled the premises with the money.

Police are investigating both incidents.
