Fine produce to make fine dining
A paddock to plate pop-up style restaurant of fine-dining will be on offer to Busselton women on Sunday night as part of the one-off Fabulous by Firelight event.
The event, hosted by South West Catchment Council, aims to support South West women in agriculture by showcasing their local produce with a five-course meal in the ArtGeo Courtyard.
SWCC community engagement program manager Nerilee Boshammer said there were "so many inspiring women" farming in the South West.
She said the women worked tirelessly to supply people with good quality, local produce.
"We want to support these women by sharing their stories with other women, particularly women living in urban areas," she said.
"Supporting South West local produce in turn supports sustainable agriculture in our region and encourages innovation.
"Buying local from our local farmers means less food miles and supports our rural communities by keeping our farmers on the land, by keeping them profitable and sustainable."
It is delivered with the help of local group Stellar Violets, Fervor and Australian Pop-Up Dining.
