Bunbury goes 'krazy' for Krispy Kremes

Kirsty Lewis, owner of the shop that will be selling Krist Kremes, looks on as Bunbury teenager Jordon Kendall displays some of the wares he purchased today.

Bunbury Jesters stores opened their doors today with the new addition of world famous Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Sandridge Village Jesters owners Kirsty and Darren Lewis had anticipated their arrival with much excitement.

“We’re really excited, just stoked,” said Mrs Lewis.

A small order was delivered to the store early this morning ahead of their big 1200 doughnut delivery at 9am, and 14 dozen were sold in the first half hour.

“It’s been really busy, there’s been someone coming in for doughnut the whole time,” she said.

Bunbury teenager Jordon Kendall, 18, was at the store early to make sure he got a pack.

“A couple of years ago I went over east for swimming nationals and we had them over there and after that I was hooked,” Mr Kendall said.

“The whole family’s pretty keen, I’m dropping Mum off a pack now.”

Bunbury doughnut-lovers could delight in seven varieties including Original Glaze, Choc-Iced, Karamel Glazed, Strawberry Iced, Kookies & Kream, Strawberry Jam and Choc-Iced Custard.
