1. Circus Oz


Bounding onto the stage with their infamous daredevilry and quirky antics, the irreverently irresistible Circus Oz promises an adventurous contemporary circus explosion. 2. Comedy night


The Blowout Comedy Gang comes to Bunbury tomorrow night for a night of stand-up comedy at the Prince of Wales Hotel. The Perth performers include the cult comedian Nick Sun who will be supported by Manfred Yon, Jeff Hewitt and Grant Norman. Tickets are $15 and are available on the door.

3. Return of the Smurfs


The Smurfs return in their latest venture into the human world this time to save one of their own. Smurfette has been kidnapped by the evil sorcerer Gargamel, because she is the only one who knows how to turn his evil minions into real Smurfs. The Smurfs 2 3D opens at Bunbury Grand Cinemas on Thursday.

4. Men’s health check


A pit stop will be held at Bunnings on Thursday, inviting men to get a free health check-up. Men can get their waist measurement, blood pressure and skin checked which in pit stop terms translates to chassis, oil pressure and duco respectively. The WA Country Health Service will be held at Bunnings on Blair Street from 9.30am to 5pm.

5. Super music quiz


Music trivia buffs are challenged to test their knowledge at the Riffs and Records for Relay Super Music Quiz. The annual quiz returns this Friday at the Quality Hotel Lord Forrest at 7pm. 6. Music celebration


Three-piece outfit The Beggars will put on a musical treat when they hit the stage of the Harvey Recreation Centre as part of the centre’s 20th anniversary celebrations on Friday. Fans of The Seekers, Johnny O’Keefe, Slim Dusty, country music legend Chad Morgan and many other great Australian bands such as The Beach Boys will embark on a musical journey down memory lane with The Beggars’ faultless rendition of popular tunes from the 1960s to the 1990s. 7. Glass artwork


Lava Art Glass Gallery and Studio will open an exhibition of glass artworks this Saturday, showcasing the work of five glass artists from the South West. Exhibiting artists are Brenda Ellen, Evelyn Henschke, Wayne Harris, Ennica Brennan and Christine Elston. The exhibition includes work which interprets the idea of the artists’ backyards. 8. Community markets


The Eaton Undercover Market will host more than 60 stalls at the Eaton Recreation Centre this Sunday from 9am to 1pm. There will be an array of food and homewares on sale such as cupcakes, macaroons and a sausage sizzle, wooden toys, clothing, hair accessories and vintage items. 10. Art of icons


Margaret River sculpture artist Jo Broadhurst’s first solo exhibition has opened at the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries. Broadhurst has created sculptures of icons as a way of reflecting observations of society back onto the viewer and asks the audience to reflect upon the truth of historical and current icons. The cultural identity exhibition is at the galleries for two months.
