Comic JT achieves his dream
Comic JT achieves his dream

After three years of chasing his dream, local comedian John “JT” Taylor has finally reached his goal.

Mr Taylor made it through to the State finals of the national Green Faces comedy competition after battling it out against four Perth comedians and five of his fellow Kalgoorlie-Boulder comics.

In a previous interview with the Kalgoorlie Miner Mr Taylor said he did not even try to win anymore, making this achievement quite ironic.

“I have a really different approach, I honestly just turn up and have a bit of fun,” Mr Taylor said.

“I just do it for fun; I got up there, had a laugh, made some Merredin jokes and just enjoyed it.

“That’s the key. If you enjoy it, if you love it, you’ll do good.”
