Pharmacy targeted in burglary

Tarcoola Pharmacy was targeted by thieves in the early hours of this morning.

It is alleged two persons gained entry to the shop premises by smashing the front glass door and crawling inside at about 3:30am.

No drugs were taken in the burglary, but approximately $200 was stolen from the two registers and a computer was damaged.

CCTV footage from inside the shop has been given to police.

Pharmacist Joseph Lim said he was angry about the break-in.

“Burglaries are a big problem in Geraldton,” he said.

He said the offenders were in-and-out in 90 seconds.

The pharmacy is covered by insurance.
