Part two of the excellent documentary marking Countdown's 40th anniversary ushers in the era of mullets, Grease tights and shoulder pads. Celebrated acts of the 80s share their memories of Australia's sequinned Sunday night staple. Adam Ant describes the show as a "calm apocalypse"; Simon Le Bon puzzles over the pitfalls of being interviewed by Molly Meldrum, while Kylie Minogue and Kate Ceberano fondly recall being part of the Countdown audience. Other classic segments include a celebration of Molly's showy knitwear, the Wiggles trying to be hip back when they were the Cockroaches, Dame Edna's tribute song to Elton John and the horror of the Countdown dance contests. It's all over far too soon.
