Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly set to star in their first film together in almost a decade.

The couple haven't been seen together in a movie since starring in Mr & Mrs Smith back in 2005, which sparked their real-life love affair. It is now believed they have "an exciting new venture" in the pipeline for the near future.

Jolie is said to have penned the script for the upcoming movie, which will be set in Europe.

The 38-year-old actress hinted she would be keen to reunite with Pitt, 50, on screen.

"We're thinking about it," Jolie told E! News. "We have an idea."

Jolie is currently working on post- production for her film Unbroken, which followed her directorial debut with The Land of Blood and Honey in 2011.

She also plays the title character in Disney's Maleficent, which will hit theatres later this month.

Pitt, meanwhile, has just wrapped up filming for the World War II action movie Fury.

The duo first went public with their relationship in April 2005, just four months after Pitts's divorce from Jennifer Aniston was finalised, and went on to get engaged in 2012.
