As the resident nice girls on My Kitchen Rules, Thalia Papadakis and Bianca Johnston were not prepared to get their claws out on the Seven show - even when faced with the threat of elimination.

After a disastrous final instant restaurant challenge earlier this week that landed them at the bottom of the leaderboard, the Tasmanian besties were ousted from the cooking contest last night when no other team scored low enough to bump them up in the rankings.

But Johnston told AAA the pair could leave with their heads held high because they refused to mark down the remaining teams to save their own skin.

"We didn't want to go around the instant restaurants hoping people would fail," Johnston explained.

"We wanted to stay true to ourselves and didn't want to be strategic because we only wanted to be in the final four if we deserved it."

The duo's friendly demeanour won them many friends on the show, with the girls even set to jet off to New York for WA contestant Chloe James' wedding in June.

But Johnston is still plagued by love rumours with Melbourne larrikins Harry Curtis and Christo Gibson and she wants to set the record straight.

"I can give you the inside scoop and unfortunately there was no romance between any of us," 21-year-old laughed.

"It was funny to see it all in the media - one week I was with Christo, another week I was with Harry. I couldn't keep up with it."

Johnston, a business and science student, and Papadakis, who studies psychology, are both still committed to their education but, in the meantime, they are beginning to build what they hope will one day become a food empire.

"We have started a market stall here in Hobart selling our pate that we served at our first instant restaurant and are hoping to extend the product line and get them into delis," Johnston said.

"In the future we would love to do it all pretty much - have a restaurant, write a cookbook. It's just a matter of time."

The final four teams were also revealed in last night's episode as the competition reaches the pointy end, including Perth cooks James and Kelly Ramsay, surfer dads Paul Bullpitt and Blair Tonkin, SA mums Bree May and Jessica Liebich and feisty twins Helena and Vikki Moursellas.
