The Perth Centre for Photography celebrates its 21st birthday this week with the milestone exhibition Momentum showcasing more than 30 artists who have exhibited there over the years.

These include internationally recognised artists such as Max Pam, David Dare Parker, Toni Wilkinson, Brad Rimmer, Juha Tolonen and Graham Miller.

Gallery director Christine Tomas says the anniversary is a proud moment for the PCP, which runs a diverse program to support Perth artists and to promote international contemporary practices to the local community.

"The support from the community for our annual exhibition program is gratifying and vital to ensure the long-term sustainability of the gallery," she says.

Curated by Paola Anselmi, Momentum will be opened by Culture and Arts Minister John Day tomorrow from 6-8pm and runs until December 8 at 100 Aberdeen Street, Northbridge.
