SCEE wins $10m Civmec contract

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering workers at the Ravensthorpe nickel project.

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (SCEE) says it has won a $10 million contract with Civmec for the electrical and instrumentation of its stockyard and train load out works for Rio Tinto's Nammuldi Below Water Table project.

The work includes the electrical, instrumentation and control system installation and pre-commissioning of two stockyard conveyors, one reclaim conveyor, train load out facility and associated sub-station infrastructure work.

SCEE expects to begin work on site next month with completion scheduled for October.

Shares in the company were off half a cent to 76 cents at 9.55am.
