Ex-partner of Karlie Pearce-Stevenson's alleged killer questioned by police

A woman suspected of hijacking Karlie Pearce-Stevenson's identity has spent the day talking to lawyers and police.

Hazel Passmore hasn't been charged, but detectives want to know what she knows about the brutal murders of Karlie and her daughter Khandalyce.

Outside her Adelaide home this morning, Ms Passmore went from her wheelchair to the drivers seat.

By midday she was seen stuck in traffic behind the wheel, after meeting with her lawyer the 33-year-old decided to go to the police.

Ms Passmore is the former partner of the Daniel Holdom, the man accused of killing Karlie Pearce Stevenson.

She arrived at Adelaide police station with her new partner and young son, just before 1pm, refusing to answer questions from the media.

After about an hour Ms Passmore left the station in an unmarked police car and is currently at an unknown location.

The dark underbelly of Adelaide’s northern suburbs has been exposed again with the joint murder investigations of Karlie and Khandalyce Pearce-Stevenson.

Ms Passmore and her new partner are understood to have up to seven children between them and neighbours say police raided the house late last week.

She's been questioned about her alleged involvement in the theft of Karlie Pearce-Stevenson's identity.

It's alleged a syndicate stole nearly $100,000 from her bank account.

Detectives and forensic accountants are following a complex trail of financial deception including bank and Centrelink fraud.

It's also been revealed that in January 2011, two years after she was murdered, someone used Karlie's identity to set up a business name - KP Exploration Drilling.

The alleged murderer Daniel Holdom and Khandalyce were seen at this house, neighbours worried about the welfare of the children still inside.

A house at Hillbank was also raided by police last week, Holdom and Passmore once lived there together.

They left abruptly in 2011 leaving behind their possessions, including a shrine to her two children killed in a car crash, and her prosthetic leg.

The investigation continues.
