Man pushes cyclist into oncoming traffic
A pedestrian's moment of fury has been caught on camera as he pushed a cyclist off of her bike and into the path of oncoming traffic.
The footage of the senseless attack was captured on the woman's helmet camera as she rides down Sidney Street in Whitechapel, east London.
The cyclist pleads for the man to not cross in front of her, saying “please don’t try and knock me off”.
As the woman approaches a junction the man shouts at the woman, "come on. You want to put your finger up at me, you mug? Come on."
The man, believed to be in his 30s, pushes the woman into oncoming traffic as she lets out a cry in distress.
The cyclist was not seriously injured and she got up off the road and handed the footage into UK Metropolitan police.
That same day a 33-year-old man had handed himself into Bethnal Green police station at around 1.30pm, The Guardian reports.
He was not arrested but would be interviewed by officers.
There seems to be a case of cyclist versus the world recently, where bike riders are taking the blame for all road mishaps and taking abuse left, right and center.
