Mandurah mini-festival brings the Fringe south

All the fun and spectacle of Perth's annual Fringe World will come to Mandurah in an inaugural festival.

HubBub: A Mini Festival By the Sea allows regional families to enjoy Fringe entertainment usually reserved for their metropolitan counterparts.

It will run from Thursday, January 29, to Sunday, February 1, at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre and is presented in association with Fringe World.

Mandurah Performing Arts Centre marketing manager Alison Pinder said she thrilled with the entertainment line-up.

She said the event would have a full festival atmosphere.

"Prepare to party in the HubBub club between shows and grab some HubBub grub from a food van," Pinder said.

"Then laugh and scream and be enthralled by the performers in the many shows in the Boardwalk and the Fishtrap Theatres.

"We want everyone to be a part of the Festival HubBubification of Mandurah."

Shows on offer include Fake It 'til You Make It, Fright or Flight, Quiet Please, There's a Lady On Stage, The Naked Magicians, The Eastend Cabaret: Sexual Tension and My.Selfie.

Plenty of laughs will be served up thanks to Damn the Circus, LadyNerd, Kraken and Fiona O'Loughlin's The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth … So Help Me, God!
