Online video leads cops to 'hoon' car

A Riverton teenager has had his car impounded after a video allegedly showing him doing a burnout on a Perth street was posted online.

Police were tipped off about the footage taken in Bateman on December 12 and identified the 18-year-old alleged driver.

Traffic officers today visited a property on Riley Road in Riverton and siezed a blue Holden Commodore sedan, which has been impounded for 28 days.

The alleged driver will be charged by summons with reckless driving at a later date.
