Stadium contracts up for grabs
WA businesses now have the opportunity to become part of the Perth's new stadium, with the State Government opening up the tender process for the venue.
The Government announced this morning the Chamber of Commerce and Industry-controlled "ProjectConnect" would advertise construction tenders on behalf the project's main builders, Brookfield Multiplex.
Small Business Minister Joe Francis said 12 packages would be offered up this year, worth about $140 million.
They included tower crane work, concrete supply, rigging and structural work.
The Government said construction of the much-anticipated stadium would begin at the end of the year.
