85-year-old dies after being hit by car

An 85-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in the State's South West.

At 3.30pm on Tuesday the woman and her 91-year-old male friend drove to the Edwards Park Winery in Cowaramup in a silver Nissan Pulsar sedan.

They parked the car outside the winery before going inside. The woman left the winery a short time later.

Police believe an incident then occurred where she was struck by the Pulsar.

The woman was taken to Busselton Hospital where she died of serious injuries.

Major Crash officers would like to speak with anyone who saw the incident, or anyone who saw the car or its occupants.
