Fugitive Vietnamese detainee found
Fugitive Vietnamese detainee found

The Vietnamese man who escaped Serco custody at Perth International Airport in June has been found at a property in Hocking.

A random traffic stop by Warwick police on Monday night led officers to the home, where 10 illegal immigrants were located.

A spokesman for Immigration Minister Scott Morrison last night confirmed that the Vietnamese national, who gave guards the slip at the airport’s check-in area just hours before he was to be deported on June 7, was found at the property.

The latest detainee to escape immigration detention, an Indian visa over stayer who ran away during an excursion to a Sikh temple in Bayswater on Tuesday, is still on the run.
