A 42-year-old man has pleaded guilty to the murder of 44-year-old Genevieve Clark, who was found dead in her Dianella unit in July.
Her neighbour, Michael David Hansen, pleaded guilty to the murder today, at just his second appearance in court.
Mr Hansen’s lawyer Bill Harris said Hansen wanted to plead guilty because of his remorse.
He said outside court that Hansen and Ms Clark had been drinking together on the night of the murder.
At an earlier court hearing a police prosecutor had indicated there had been amputations involved in the murder.
Friends of Ms Clark discovered her body in her Grand Promenade unit.
Ms Clark's family were too emotional to speak following the plea. Hansen will be sentenced in December.
