Bowrey welcomes baby boy

Popular former Seven Perth newsreader Sally Bowrey and her husband, property development manager *Richard Seddon have welcomed their first baby into the world, a son named Archer.

Bowrey gave birth to her son on Monday afternoon in Sydney.

In a message to colleagues, Bowrey reportedly said: "An early surprise for a very proud set of parents.

"Archer 'Archie' Robert born 30 June at 4.16pm. Weighing 2.36kg but doing well after some time in the special-care nursery. Mum and dad are over the moon with the little guy getting stronger each day, still a busy time ahead as we try to fatten him up!"

Bowrey will return from maternity leave in six months to her role as Seven News weekend weather presenter in Sydney.

She moved from Perth in mid-2012 after spending four years as a weekend anchor for Seven Perth.
