Guilty plea to stepmother's murder

A man has pleaded guilty to murdering his stepmother in her Koondoola home last year.

Catalin Alin Borbil appeared in court yesterday over the murder of Sally Kaur, 57, in her Edgington Crescent home on December 5.

Police allege the 20-year-old stabbed Ms Kaur multiple times to her body and face.

Her husband, John Borbil, returned home that night and looked through the kitchen window, where he saw his wife in a pool of blood.

Mr Borbil and Ms Kaur met through a mutual friend about six years ago and married in 2010.

Borbil will be sentenced in September.
