Police are calling for witnesses to a hit-and-run involving a 13-year-old boy in Padbury on Monday.

The boy was riding his bicycle across Marmion Avenue, near Giles Avenue, when he was struck by a Ford Falcon about 9.39pm.

The driver of the car then drove away at speed.

Police described the car as a dark or silver EL Falcon, which lost its front grill in the crash.

The boy, who suffered minor injuries, was wearing a black hoody and shorts but he was not wearing a helmet.

His bicycle did not have lights fitted.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
