Man dead in Mundaring crash

A 35-year-old Mundaring man has died and another man is recovering in hospital after a car crash overnight.

According to police, at 10.45pm a red Mitsubishi Magna sedan was travelling south on Coolgardie Road when the driver lost control, crossed to the other side of the road and hit a tree.

The 35-year-old male front seat passenger died at the scene.

The 24-year-old male driver, from Mundaring, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

Major Crash officers are seeking witnesses who may have seen the vehicle prior to the crash.
