Teenager born without arms determined to learn how to drive

A North Queensland teen born with no arms is determined to learn how to drive.

Jordan Hann, 16, of Townsville, is eligible to apply for a learner’s licence.

But under the National Disability Insurance Scheme, Jordan can only drive a car which is less than five years old and has less than 20,000 km on it. It has to be modified for him to drive the vehicle with his feet.

The family has started a GoFundMe page to raise $40,000 for the teen who is confident nothing will stop him learning to drive.

“Anything you want to do – just follow your dreams and you’ll succeed,” he said.

Jordan’s mum Renee Kerrison said nothing shakes her son.

“He’s very resilient and just takes things in his stride and he’s my greatest achievement,” she said.
