Teen, 17, shot after leaving party with friends in Sydney

A teenager has been shot on a Sydney street shortly after leaving a party.

The boy, 17, was walking with friends in Ambarvale in Sydney’s southwest when he was hit in his right upper arm about 12.15am on Sunday, police say.

It is believed he was shot near the intersection of Woodhouse Drive and Jaggers Place.

He went to nearby Campbelltown Hospital before being transferred to Liverpool Hospital for surgery for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say officers have spoken to the youth but he was unable to provide details of the shooting.
