The live stream captured the intruder carrying a pile of clothes from the house, before allegedly jumping into two getaway cars.

Police said the occupant of the granny flat answered a knock at the door when he was punched in the face, knocking him to the ground unconscious.

"Two men – wearing balaclavas – entered the home and threatened the female occupant with a firearm, before stealing clothing and fleeing," they said in a statement on Sunday

Police confirmed the injured man had been "live streaming on a social media platform at the time", and police were notified shortly after.

The woman screaming in the video is Mr Assaad's partner Daniella, Nine News reported.

At one point in the video, she can be heard screaming out "Wally".

Another man, who goes by the user name 'cantfightfate14' on TikTok, shared the video online which shows him watching on as the terrifying robbery unfolded.

"What the f*** is going on?" he asked repeatedly before the video abruptly ended.

Emergency services were called to a home on Koonoona Avenue at around 11:30pm following reports of a home invasion.
