Sydney parking inspectors caught out in 'embarrassing' act

Two City of Sydney Council parking inspectors have been filmed backing into a parked car and appearing to leave without taking responsibility.

Video uploaded to the Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook page shows the two men in an Isuzu ute reversing into a car parked behind them on Saturday morning.

The pair then step out of the car and the driver appears to look at the vehicle parked behind him.

The two men then walk off and the owner of the car they reversed into claims they didn’t leave a note.

In a response to the video on Facebook, City of Sydney wrote it’s aware of the “regrettable incident” and has contacted the owner of the car to apologise.

“We understand the frustration that residents, visitors and business people feel when events like this occur,” council wrote.

“We will conduct a thorough investigation and speak to the staff involved.”

People on Facebook called the incident a “dog act” and “very ordinary”.
