Supermarket employee tasered in the face during robbery

A supermarket staff member has been tasered during a terrifying attempted robbery in Sydney's north-west.

Police say two men entered the Foodworks supermarket in Whalan, just after 7.20pm Sunday.

It's believed he threatened two workers, before shooting one in the face with a taser.

The 22-year-old victim was taken to hospital.

Both men remain on the run.

The shop manager could not comment on the incident when Yahoo7 called the store but said police are investigating.
