A woman was forced to yell for help after realising she was being photographed on the toilet by a stranger inside a Melbourne shopping centre.
She had visited the centre in Coburg on Sunday, January 8, when she was allegedly followed into the bathrooms by an unknown man at about 8.15pm.
Police allege the man took photos of the woman over the cubicle wall for about 30 seconds before she realised what was happening and called for help. They’re describing the disturbing case as a “stalking incident”.
Security camera inside the shopping centre captured the man looking over his shoulder near the entrance to the toilets, while another angle showed him running out of centre to the car park.
He is described as being approximately 35 to 45 years old with a solid build, and was wearing a black cap, black t-shirt, dark-coloured shorts and runners.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
