Charges have been laid after a teenage student was caught on camera being allegedly assaulted by a male teacher at a NSW high school.
Footage of the incident on Tuesday was captured by several students at Maitland Grossmann High School, showing the teacher throwing paper balls back at the boy while confronting him at his desk.
The 62-year-old then says "come on mate" while trying to grab the teenager, who slaps his hand away, inciting a few laughs from students watching on.
However things escalate quickly as the teacher grabs the boy's shirt and pulls him over the desk, causing an uproar form other students who try to intervene. "You wanna f***ing touch him again?" one of the students yells while pushing the teacher away, who then asks his students to put their phones down.
A desk is thrown at the teacher, moments before the school bell rings and the pupils rush to leave the class.
The incident is not over yet, as the teacher is seen going after a boy who is approaching the door. He appears to strike the boy who falls to the floor, before the teacher steps out of the classroom.
