Staff return to NSW Parliament after evacuations over 'suspicious package'
Staff have now been allowed back into the New South Wales Parliament House building in Sydney after a suspicious package triggered an evacuation this morning.
New South Wales Police confirmed to 7 News a police operation was taking place during the evacuation, but would not elaborate.
The suspicious package was believed to have been located between the State Library and Parliament House.

The operation was underway on Hospital Road.
"Officers were called shortly after 10am after concerns were raised about an item at the location," a spokesperson said.
Workers exited into The Domain at the back of Parliament House during the evacuation.
No injuries were reported.
