Can you spot the snake hidden in this pile of compost?

This picture of a snake hiding in a mound of compost has stumped people on social media leaving them struggling to find her among the mulch.

The mummy snake's camouflage skills were on point as she slithered into the mound on a Sunshine Coast property to keep her sack of eggs warm while she waited for them to hatch.

A Tinbeerwah family spotted the female coastal carpet python's pattern inside a hiding hole on the mound, and called in the experts to move the scaly intruder as they needed to relocate the mulch.

Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 shared a picture of the mound to Facebook on Tuesday, asking followers to "spot the snake", noting the task was a bit tough.

The challenge proved too tough for many, with dozens incorrectly taking a stab at where they thought the creature was hiding.

Revealing the answer on Wednesday, snake catcher Lockie Gilding shared a follow-up video to the Facebook page, revealing where the mummy snake and her babies were hiding.
