Sickening texts revealed after teacher's alleged affair with 13yo student
Disturbing messages were allegedly sent between a married 28-year-old female high school teacher and a 13-year-old student with whom police say she had a sexual relationship.
Brittany Zamora is accused of having sex with a teenage boy four times, including once in her own classroom while another student watched.
Police allege the teacher at Las Brisas Academy in Arizona, US, groomed the student, initially exchanging text messages with the boy through a classroom mobile phone app.
The chat then reportedly moved to Instagram where police say it quickly became flirtatious then evolved into a sexual relationship, the Arizona Republic reported.
Court records allege Ms Zamora and the student had sex multiple times, including in the classroom after school, and her car.
They would touch each other sexually in the back of the classroom while other students watched videos, the victim reportedly told police.
The child’s male friend reportedly told police he was asked to stand watch while the victim and his teacher were “doing it” in the classroom after school, which he said made him feel uncomfortable.
Parents use monitoring app to catch son texting teacher
The victim’s parents noticed a change in their son’s behavior, so they used a social media monitoring app that found the word “baby” repeatedly coming up in a direct message conversation on Instagram on March 21 last year. That’s how they uncovered the explicit text exchanges between the child and what appeared to be his teacher, according to the local news outlet.
The boy deleted the messages before his parents could see them, but admitted to them he’d been chatting to his teacher and that they had sex.
The parents made the boy message Ms Zamora as he normally would, while they took screenshots of the conversation before handing them over to police. The messages were obtained by The Republic as part of a public records request.
“Hey bby,” the student wrote to his teacher as his parents watched. “Thinking about your sexy self.”
She responded: “Awww baby. I wish you were here with me.”
He asked when they could have sex again, to which Zamora responded: “I want you too baby so bad! “Whenever we can you know I’m down.”
Ms Zamora was arrested in March 2018 on suspicion of sexual misconduct with the student. She has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including sexual conduct with a minor.
The teacher is being held at Maricopa County Jail and is expected to appear in court again in May.
