Sexual abuse victim claims attacker Facebook stalked her after jail release

A victim, who was one of 1400 children sexually abused in the UK by gangs of men, claims one of her abusers has used Facebook to stalk her since his release from jail.

'Lizzie' was 12 years old when Umar Razaq, who was 22, groomed her for sex before she was raped by four other men.

Razaq served less than a year for his crimes and since his release has left the UK.

Lizzie is now 19 and claims Razaq recently stalked her by following her boyfriend on Facebook so he could see their updates.

She said he added her boyfriend on Facebook, which caused her to "freak out".

Razaq was jailed in 2010.

Lizzie claims police and her local council were not interested when she informed them of Razaq's actions, the Daily Mail erports.

"I told South Yorkshire Police what he was doing and how scared I was but no one seemed to care. The police knew exactly what was going on months ago but none of them were bothered," she said.

South Yorkshire Police said they cannot comment on Lizzie's allegations.

"It was like he was taunting me, saying he could see what I was doing and was watching me.

"He shouldn't be allowed out in the first place and what he has been posting about his own life is disgusting.

"I feel frightened that he can see me and could find me so easily. It all takes me back to what happened."

In November 2010, Razaq was jailed for four-and-a-half years but his sentence was later reduced by one year.

This week, the now 28-year-old used Facebook to post about "living the high life" after leaving the UK and in July, posted a story about a woman crying rape and wrote: "All women are the same".

Meeting in 2008, Razaq introduced Lizzie to his older brother Razwan and his cousin Zafran Ramzan, who also groomed her for sex.

"I was only a little girl when I was raped for the first time. Five men sexually abused me, in alleyways, parks, on playing fields and even in cars," she said.

All five of Lizzie's abusers were jailed in November 2010.
