Search for mystery $2.5m Lotto winner who has 'no idea'

Someone who lives in or recently visited a suburb in Sydney's south is walking around not knowing they are $2.5 million richer.

Four players in Saturday Lotto draw 4155 had division one entries and one of them was purchased in Narwee, Sydney, at the Broadarrow Newsagency and Tobacconist.

Each division one entry has won a prize of $2.5 million.

However, the mystery winner did not register their ticket, so lottery officials have no way of contacting them to confirm the good news.

So now, The Lott is waiting for the winner to come forward and claim their prize.

“It’s likely this winner has been going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve just won $2.5 million!” The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Broadarrow Newsagency and Tobacconist to check their tickets today."

Broadarrow Newsagency and Tobacconist is quite excited about the win and is hoping the mystery winner will be identified soon.

Owner Mandy Tiaw said right now they have posters up and balloons everywhere in celebration.

"We’ve also been sharing the news with our customers and we are hoping our unregistered winner checks their ticket soon," she said.

Draw 4155 was announced on Saturday May 15 — the winning numbers were 19, 16, 5, 41, 15 and 20, and the supplementary numbers were 4 and 21.

What to do if you think you have won the lottery?

Ms Ramsamy is urging anyone who purchased a ticket for draw 4155 to check their numbers.

“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox, because you could be the winner we are searching for," she said.

If you find out you have the winning ticket, you can contact The Lott on 131 868 and start the process of claiming your prize.
