Sceptic alert: Hillary Clinton Will Reveal The Truth About Aliens - If She Is Elected President in November
We may finally soon discover the truth about aliens and UFOs - but it all boils down to whether Hillary Clinton is voted US President or not.
With FBI Special Agents Mulder and Scully about to return to find "the truth", the Democratic candidate for the top job told a journalist that she too plans to "get to the bottom" of the conspiracies surrounding extraterrestrial life.
Quite how she goes about that is unclear, although she reportedly promised to send a task force to Area 51 - the notorious and highly secretive military base in Nevada that has long been rumoured to be testing alien technologies.
For some truth on the restricted government area, Mrs Clinton and the curious could follow up with NASA Administrator Major Charles Bolden who revealed in June last year some details about what was hidden at the establishment.
"There is an Area 51," he told British school children in a Q and A. "It's not what many people think. I’ve been to a place called that but it’s a normal research and development place. I never saw any aliens or alien spacecraft or anything when I was there.
"It think because of the secrecy of the aeronautics research that goes on there it’s ripe for people to talk about aliens being there."
That would explain the mystery of the UFOs seen in the area.
Mrs Clinton - who would be the first female President if elected at the end of this year - may know just how many people are desperate to find out the truth.
A staggering 77 per cent of Americans apparently believe that aliens have already visited Earth - and they believe there is even proof.
And it’s not just Clinton that wants the conspiracy exposed - her campaign chairman, John Podesta, has already called for the release of classified UFO files.
He tweeted last year: “Finally, my biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files. #thetruthisstilloutthere.”
He added: "The American people can handle the truth."
And it's likely the rest of the world can handle it too.
Mrs Clinton said of her campaign chief: "He has made me personally pledge we are going to get the information out.
"One way or another. Maybe we could have a task force go to Area 51."
Again, there's already been plenty light shed on the area after a Freedom of Information request in 2005 revealed the space had mostly been used as a testing ground for military aircraft such as the U-2 spy plane, the F-117 stealth fighter and the F-22.
Still, Mrs Clinton’s husband - former President Bill Clinton - previously dismissed the notion of alien life.
He told US chat show host Jimmy Kimmel last year: "There are no aliens there (Area 51)."
However, his wife seems to be a believer, responding: "I think we may have been (visited already).
"We don’t know for sure."
If you are desperate to know, it sounds like the only way to find out is to vote Hillary in 2016.
