Unhappy diner admits to biting waiter in bizarre dispute over fish fillet
Police body camera video has captured the bizarre confessions of a diner who admitted to biting a waiter in a fight that began over a piece of fish in June last year.
When police arrived to Gouger Street in Adelaide, an officer can be heard in the footage asking, "Alright what's happening people?"
"She bite me," a person claims.
Minutes earlier a fellow diner captured an argument between the woman and staff.
The customer had ordered a grilled barramundi but allegedly found the bill not to her taste and was accused of only paying half.
She then walked out of the Gouger Street restaurant with a waiter in pursuit.
Police were called but not before she allegedly sunk her teeth into the waiter's arm.
"I wanted to go, he hold me, my legs and my arms and my back, don't let me go. I just tell him, 'Let me go, I paid already'," the woman can be heard saying on the bodycam footage.
In the body camera video the officer asks, "Who bit him?"
The woman replies, "Bit him?"
The officer responds, "Yeah bite."
She then replies, "I did."
He then asks, "You did?"
She responds, "Yeah."
The officer then says, "Do you know how serious that is? Over a fish."
The woman was charged with assault and failing to pay for a meal.
The matter is currently before the courts. The accused is arguing she was acting in self defence.
