WATCH: Angry diner sinks teeth into Adelaide restaurant worker
A fellow diner hit the record button as a stoush between a customer and a waiter heated up on Tuesday at an Adelaide restaurant.
A woman in a Gouger Street restaurant may have bitten off more than she can chew after being arrested for sinking her teeth into a waiter's arm and doing a runner on the bill.
It's alleged she became snappy after disputing the price of her grilled fish dinner.
The manager of the eatery, called Nice Fish, claims the woman had ordered grilled barramundi but after finishing the dish she found the bill hard to swallow and only wanted to pay half.
The manager said the woman threw some money at him - not the full amount - and walked out.
Another waiter gave chase down Gouger Street and police were called.
That is when the woman allegedly tried to strangle him and then sunk her teeth into his arm.
The waiter, a 19-year-old international student, had several visible bites and bleeding to the ear and neck.
Police arrested the diner, who has been charged with assault and failing to pay for a meal.
The waiter now has an anxious wait to see if he has contracted hepatitis or even HIV.
