Female service station staff member threatened with knife during Queensland robbery

A female staff member at a service station in Ipswich, in south-east Queensland, has been threatened with a knife during a frightening armed robbery.

Police have released vision of the robbery, where a man can be seen approaching the counter and lowering what appears to be a knife out of the bottom of one of his sleeves.

Following his demands for money, the woman removes the till and empties its contents into a plastic bag.

In the footage it appears the man takes something out of the till and adds it into the bag as well.

The robbery took place at a service station on Brisbane Road at Dinmore on Sunday night at about 9pm.

Police say the man fled on foot with cash and may have left the area in a car which police have released vision of.

The man is described as Caucasian with a medium build and is thought to be about 177cm tall.
