Teenager charged with Jayde Kendall murder wrote disturbing posts on Facebook

The teenager charged with murdering Queenslander Jayde Kendall reportedly wrote a series of disturbing posts about 'how black my heart really is' on his social media page three years ago.

Brendan Bennetts, 18, is accused of murder and misconduct with a corpse after the 16-year-old's body was found in a rural area at Upper Tenthill, about 17km from Gatton where Jayde lived.

News Corp reports that Roberts, who plans to plead not guilty to the charges, allegedly posted in January 2012: "In death there is no lie only what you've done in this life.

Brenden Bennetts (pictured) was one of the last people Jayde Kendall was seen with before she was found dead.

"For when my time comes, when the moment of truth comes down like the fist of iron, I will stand there and see what path I must take.

'For only then I will know how black my heart really is.'

On February 22, 2013, the Jayde also commmented on a close up picture of Bennetts' green eyes, saying: 'Oh my god, your eyes'.

Bennetts also reportedly liked a Facebook page called Help Find Jayde page which was launched to raise awareness about her disappearance.

Disturbing CCTV footage has also emerged of a red Toyota Corolla hatchback allegedly belonging to Bennetts driving past a petrol station in Gatton, less than six kilometres from where Jayde’s body was eventually found.

Queensland Police allege the red car in the video belongs to Bennetts who was the last person seen with Jayde.

Jayde was last seen alive getting into Bennetts' car outside Lockyer District State High School and was reported missing later that day.

Officers seized the CCTV footage as their investigation into the alleged murder continues.

Jayde's shattered family have paid tribute to their "beautiful angel", describing her as their "shining light".

"Jayde was the purest beacon of shining light that guided our family. The circle that bound our love," her heartbroken family told The Sunday Mail.

"She was the magnet that drew us all together and kept us connected."

Jayde had been a rock for her father and brother since her mother died from cancer eight years ago.

She loved art and planned to study psychology at university.

Two weeks ago she was picked up by a red car outside the Lockyer District High School and vanished.

Her father raised the alarm after he went to pick her up from her part-time job at McDonald's that night.

Bennetts had been a person of interest in the high-profile search for Jayde given she was last seen getting into his red Toyota Corrolla after school on August 14.

Jayde's body was found last Thursday and Bennetts was arrested and charged the next day.

He made a brief appearance in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday where he was remanded in custody.

His lawyer, Brendan Ryan, told reporters outside court he intended pleading not guilty and applying for bail in coming weeks.

Bennetts will be back in court this Friday when he fronts Ipswich Magistrates Court.
