Qld police hunt for fatal hit-and-run car
Police are looking for a dark car they believe hit and killed a young woman celebrating her 20th birthday in Brisbane.
Ashleigh Humphrys had been partying with friends before she was struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday while walking along the Western Freeway at Toowong.
Ms Humphrys, who police believe was likely intoxicated, had reportedly been warned to stay off the road by a security guard minutes earlier.
A police spokeswoman says detectives have reviewed CCTV footage of the area and are now searching for a black sedan they believe hit Ms Humphrys before driving off.
Detectives are also inspecting a taxi that was one of the first cars on the scene, but it is not believed to have been involved in the incident.
