A South African man was drugged, kidnapped and repeatedly raped by three women over three days in a severely traumatising ordeal.
The alleged kidnap and rape occurred last weekend when the 23-year-old man hopped into a share-cab on the outskirts of Pretoria carrying three young women, TimesLive reports.
The young man noticed something was amiss when the cabbie took a new direction and ordered him to jump in the front of the taxi.
According to police reports, the man was injected with an unknown substance and soon lost consciousness.
South African Police Service Captain Colette Weilbach said the man "stated that he woke up in an unfamiliar room on a single bed".
"The female suspects then allegedly forced the man to drink an energy drink‚ before taking turns raping him numerous times a day‚" Capt Weilbach said.
"The South African Police Service take all sexual offences seriously regardless of gender."
The man was later dumped semi-naked in a field where he managed to flag down a passing car.
Police are searching for the alleged perpetrators, with Capt Weilbach reassuring "all victims of these types of crimes that they will carry out robust investigations to bring offenders to justice".
