Police video shows detectives wrestling alleged meth dealer from car

Police in New South Wales have released footage of the forceful arrest of a man later charged with 70 counts of supplying illegal drugs.

The 41-year-old Forster man was one of three people arrested by Operation Carpet detectives targeting methamphetamines in the Forster and Taree areas.

Video of the arrest shows a group of detectives forcing the man from his vehicle in the carport of a shopping centre at Taree at about 11am on Tuesday.

After a short struggle officers manage to handcuff the man before searching him and his vehicle, allegedly discovering methamphetimes.

He was arrested and taken to Taree police station. Police will allege he supplied drugs at least 70 times between November 2015 and March 2016.

He was refused bail.

Detectives also executed three search warrants at a Taree business and homes in Forster and Hallidays Point, allegedly discovering methamphetamines, cannabis, ecstasy and items they believe may have been stolen.

A 46-year-old man was arrested at Hallidays Point and a 25-year-old man was arrested at Taree.

The 46-year-old was charged with supplying drugs over an indictable quantity, possessing prohibited drugs and receiving stolen property. He was granted conditional bail.

The 25-year-old was also bailed after he was charged with supplying a prohibited drug.
