They are tall, fit and fresh-faced but have little to no experience on the catwalk.

But that is all about to change for 15 local models, who have been selected by Telstra Perth Fashion Festival as the "fresh faces of summer".

The festival has a rich history of uncovering some of *WA *'s best modelling talent, from *Gemma Ward *to *Nicole Trunfio *, and has now set its sights on discovering the next big thing from the new crop of young ingenues.

The 15 women have been hand-picked from *Perth *'s leading agencies Vivien's, Chadwick and Scene and will strut the runway tomorrow at TPFF's inaugural Swim + Resort Series alongside 30 established models.

Festival director *Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan * said she was excited to have some of the best up-and-coming faces participating in the inaugural event.

"For some of them this will literally be their professional catwalk debut," she said.

"We do have a knack in WA for unearthing some fabulous raw talent and some of our past hot new talent winners have gone on to walk for some of the biggest fashion brands in the world and carved out great modelling careers."

Taking over the *Royal Perth Yacht Club *, the sold-out Swim + Resort Series will feature 10 capsule runway shows from a few of WA's leading swimwear and accessories designers.

And in a first for the festival, the finale will feature a staggering 45 models on the catwalk at once.

  • Liesel Morgan *was one of the faces selected to be in the showcase and she said it was a huge event to be part of after just four months of modelling.

"It's pretty exciting to be chosen, I just hope I can do the show justice. It sounds like it's going to be really big," the 18-year-old Vivien's beauty said.

  • Haylee Porter *, from Chadwick, admitted she was feeling the nerves about stepping out on

stage in a bikini but knew confidence would be the secret to her success.

"I think it will be about feeling comfortable within yourself and knowing you can wear the swimwear well," the 16-year-old said.
