Husband of young Sydney nurse who died in Fiji pays tribute to his bride
The devastated husband of a young Sydney nurse who died in Fiji has paid tribute to his bride.
Kelly Clarke, 24, died of bilateral pneumonia while the couple was meant to be celebrating a belated honeymoon.
But now her heartbroken husband Chase is planning her funeral as the family is relieved to have her body home.
“I just love you and wish you were here,” Mr Clarke said.
“No person will be the person that you are and no one will ever be the person what you were.”
After misplacing his ring, the couple got matching tattoos in case he lost it again.
Now, he wears her wedding ring.
“It shouldn’t be on my finger,” Mr Clarke said. “It should be on hers.”
Mrs Clarke’s body was flown to Sydney on Monday night.

Mr Clarke is relieved have her out of Fiji after her sudden death on Friday, describing her agony before she died.
“In the ambulance she started getting severe abdominal pain and I’ve heard a woman scream like that in my life,” Mr Clarke said.
Mr Clarke also said while there were several elements that contributed to his wife’s death, the certificate indicates it was severe bilateral pneumonia that was the primary cause.
All the other details the family wish to keep private.
Now, only six months after their wedding, the family is planning a funeral.
