Mum, 21, killed in horrific crash on the way to McDonald's

A young mother has been remembered as a “kind” and “beautiful” woman after she was killed while driving to McDonald’s with her boyfriend.

Sophie Murphy, 21, had spent the day with her partner playing golf in West Yorkshire, England, when they decided to head to the fast-food restaurant about 2pm (local time) on Saturday.

Their vehicle collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction, and despite paramedics’ best efforts, she was unable to be saved.

Sophie leaves behind her daughter, Emilia, who celebrated her first birthday in June.

Emilia was with Sophie’s mother at the time, reports The Sun, with the grandmother now planning on raising the little girl.

In a heartbreaking tribute to Facebook, Sophie’s mum wrote that her life would never be the same.

“There is no words, to describe the news I received yesterday that my beautiful daughter Sophie has been taken from me at the young age of 21,” the post read.

“My life, my heart and my whole world has been torn apart. My Sophie, my baby, my first love, all my life I have lived for my children.

“My heart is now broken, I will love you forever and promise from the bottom of my heart I will make you proud and make sure Emilia has the best upbringing.”

High school friends were also shocked by the news of Sophie’s death.

“Absolutely devastated by the news,” one man wrote. “You was such a kind girl Rest in peace beautiful."

"R.I.P Sophie Murphy, such a lovely girl taken far too soon. Thoughts go out to your family and your gorgeous little girl,” another friend said.

Police are now seeking witnesses of the crash in order to conduct a full investigation.
